St. Louis
As a child Larry was introduced to St. Louis via a small wooden radio on his grandfather’s back porch. On those warm summer nights they would tune the bright yellow dial into KMOX and hear the far-away mystical sounds of Sportsman’s Park with Harry Caray and Jack Buck at the mic, “Musial steps to the plate…. Here’s the wind and the pitch. A high fly toward the Pavilion roof! It might be! It could be! It is! A home run! Holy Cow!”
Larry was hooked and has stayed that way. He simply loves St. Louis. Goes there at every summer opportunity. From the stadiums and his Cardinal heroes, the historic landmarks, unique neighborhoods and the great entertainment he savors every moment during a visit. It doesn’t hurt that Anheuser Busch makes a little beer there, too.
It is all here in Larry’s art print - The Gateway to the West – St. Louis. May God Bless Stan Musial.
