“When
people see this print I want them to hear the soul-stirring sounds of the
band, the exuberant roar of the crowd during the Walk of Champions, the
yells of cheerleaders.
I want them to get a whiff of the great smells, to see the
outstanding array of brilliant colors, the unbelievable organized chaos
set against the gentle beauty of the campus and feel the extraordinary
emotion and togetherness of a Rebel game day.
But ultimately I want it to be a vivid reminder of good times spent
with cherished friends as we all come together in our favorite place.
As my slogan says, “You Can’t Explain It…
You Just Have To Be There.”
Larry seems to have a knack
for capturing the hearts of Rebels everywhere and “The Grove” only
builds on that tradition.
He
wanted to figure out a way, a different way that would capture the true
feeling of actually being in the Grove.
It is such a precious part of the Rebel family he wanted to make
sure he did it justice.
And
justice may just be an understatement.
Wamble took “about 1200 photographs” during Grove activities
and distilled those down to a richly colorful collage of images.
There is everything imaginable, images that will bring a knowing
nod, a quick smile, an instant inner rush of excitement, and a deep
feeling of family pride.
“Every image in the collage actually
stands on its own, each an instant reminder of being there.
Things we have all seen and cherished as part of the unique range
of emotions we feel while being in the Grove.
The overall effect is simply overwhelming. Larry has such a wonderful eye for detail.” -
